LOS ANGELES-Cybiko Inc. introduced a digital, wireless, portable entertainment and communication system combining interactive gaming, instant messaging e-mail and personal information manager capabilities in one device.
“We are thrilled to be the first to introduce a new high-tech, wireless Internet appliance platform for the youth market,” said Donald Wisniewski, president of Cybiko. “Our new Cybiko platform delivers on all counts with true wireless, interactive gaming through walls and ceilings, wireless chat for up to 999 people and the ability to take their e-mail with them all packed in a portable, on-the-go device.”
According to Cybiko, the device will be available in four translucent colors with a full QWERTY keyboard and a stylus stored in the top of the unit to compose messages, standard 1 Megabit of memory expandable to 16 MB, a high-frequency transmitter and a vibration alert feature. The device measures 5.7 inches by 2.8 inches and weighs less than 4 ounces.
The company noted the device will retail for between $129 and $149 and be distributed through its Web site and national retailers.
