SANTA CLARA, Calif.-Yahoo! Inc. signed an agreement with Telecom Italia Mobile to provide a range of Yahoo!’s Wireless Application Protocol-enabled content and services in Italian to TIM’s customers.
“The wireless market continues to grow at an exponential rate-in Europe and Asia in particular, penetration is already high and users are looking specifically for ways to access relevant information on the go,” said Mohan Vishwanath, vice president of Yahoo! Everywhere. “By forging relationships with leading wireless networks and device manufacturers around the world, Yahoo! is further expanding distribution channels and delivering solutions today enabling Internet users to access the best the Web has to offer.”
