RESTON, Va.-Nextel Communications Inc. made several announcements regarding new content and services now available to its Nextel Online customers.
Nextel said mobileID will deliver a subset of its personalized wireless Web services. MobileID enables customers to access information, such as movie times, restaurant locations and remote file storage, among others.
ExitSource will provide Web content that connects interstate highway travelers to ExitSource’s data on travel services, which is found by entering the interstate and exit numbers of the traveler’s location.
CNET Networks Inc. said it will provide its content for buyers and sellers, including specific information about the best wireless products and services, and Vicinity Corp.’s BrandFinder also will be available, allowing customers to search nearly 300 brands and locate the retailers and service providers nearest them.
