NEWARK, N.J.-BellSouth Wireless Data L.P. provided freight transportation company Guaranteed Overnight Delivery Inc. with a custom wireless data solution designed to automate its dispatching operation.
The wireless solution allows Guaranteed Overnight dispatchers to communicate information, including daily assignments, schedule changes and updates and new delivery assignments to their drivers through the Research in Motion 950 wireless handheld.
Guaranteed Overnight has equipped 150 drivers with the solution and plans to double the deployment to 300 by the end of the year.
