LONDON-Empower INteractive Group Ltd. said it will introduce a Java-based WAP Gateway to the open source community this week, following a trial with an unnamed Scandinavian mobile operator.
The gateway features WAP 1.1 compatibility, as well as support for WTLS Security Layers I and II and the ability to incorporate SSL Security Layer. The gateway technology will be available for download from the Internet at Empower’s Web site.
