Plantronics selects Philips as Bluetooth partner

LAS VEGAS-Headset manufacturer Plantronics Inc. selected Philips Semiconductors as a technology partner in the development of its Bluetooth headsets. Plantronics said it will base its first Bluetooth-enabled headset on Philips second-generation Bluetooth chipset. The headset is expected to be available by the spring of this year.
