Brightpod integrated AvantGo’s Enterprise product suite into its applications service provider platform. The companies said they will co-market the Brightpod offering through joint promotional activities. “We try to make `going mobile’ easier for enterprises by identifying and securing proven technologies that our customers can trust,” said Don Shirley, Brightpod’s chief executive officer. “AvantGo Enterprise certainly fits the bill.”
Certicom will accelerate its support of Symbian’s platform with its handheld virtual private network client to allow users of Symbian-based smart phones secure access to corporate intranets. In addition, Certicom said it will become a Symbian Technology Partner and the companies will partner on the marketing and development of technologies for Symbian-based devices.
GE Global eXchange Services and VisionAIR Inc. plan to integrate GE’s suite of integration brokers with VisionAIR’s Data Routing Engine, which the companies said will allow them to connect multiple wireless devices to a variety of business systems, including customer relationship management and enterprise management planning.
UltiVerse Technologies Inc. said will partnered with RSA Security Inc. to make its FreeVerse solution fully interoperable with RSA’s SecurID authentication technology. UltiVerse said the move will offer an added measure of security for its customers.
PostX Corp. announced it will partner with Wysdom Inc. to offer wireless applications to its customers. The new applications, developed by PostX and powered by Wysdom, will allow secure delivery of a range of text notifications to cellular phones, pagers and personal digital assistants, the companies said. “PostX enterprise customers have been asking for a wireless solution which satisfies the requirements of an increasingly mobile clientele,” said R.C. Venkatraman, PostX’s chief executive officer. “PostX will leverage Wysdom’s robust technology platform to increase our reach and create more value and convenience for our Enterprise customers.”
Wireless Knowledge Inc. announced it joined the RSA Secured Strategic Partner Program to support the interoperability between its Workstyle Server software and RSA’s SecurID authentication technology. Wireless Knowledge said it hopes to enhance the security capabilities of its Workstyle, which offers mobile executives real-time, wireless access to their existing message platform.
