“Motorola is the industry leader in introducing GPRS and GSM systems in Europe and Asia. The decision to introduce GSM and GPRS to the Americas will allow cellular carriers who operate systems in the 800 and 1900 bands to take advantage of Motorola’s industry-leading GPRS technology,” said Fred Wright, Motorola’s senior vice president and general manager of the North American region.
