CellStar enters agreements with Kyocera, Ericsson

CARROLLTON, Texas-CellStar Corp. has entered a two-year agreement with Kyocera Wireless Corp. to distribute wireless phones and accessories in the United States, Latin America and Asia.

CellStar will provide distribution and fulfillment services for Kyocera’s line of digital wireless phones and accessories, including the new QCP 2035 and QCP 3035 models and popular thin phone series.

“This agreement brings new products with respected brand names to CellStar’s extensive global distribution and fulfillment infrastructure on three continents,” said Dale Allardyce, president and chief operating officer of CellStar.

In addition, CellStar will join with Ericsson’s Consumer Products Division to provide logistics and warranty repair services for Ericsson’s full line of wireless communications products throughout the U.S.

“CellStar will broaden our market reach, opening new doors to distribution in the indirect, retail and RSA markets for our TDMA, GSM and CDMA products,” said Harri Koponen, vice president of sales for Ericsson’s Division Consumer Products in North America.
