Siemens wins GSM contract in Brazil

MUNICH, Germany—Siemens AG says it has won a $256 million contract from Brazilian operator Telemar to supply and install a GSM network in six major cities in the northeast of Brazil. The contact, which will last two years, will cover a population of 26 million.
