Synovial signs video game deal with Sega

FREMONT, Calif.—Wireless gaming company Synovial Inc. scored a major deal today with Sega of America under which the company will offer Sega’s video game content to handheld devices and next-generation mobile phones.
Synovial will use its development toolkit, code named SYN, to bring the games to life. The first product under the partnership will be Virtual Game Gear, a software product aimed at re-creating Sega’s Game Gear experience on handheld devices. Virtual Game Gear will ship with several titles, including “Sonic The Hedgehog.” Other games will be available for purchase on the Internet.
