WEST MELBOURNE, Fla.—Relm Wireless Corp. announced it has received four orders totaling $899,000 for BK Radio-branded mobile and portable radio products, three of which were from the U.S. Forest Service for use in California national forests. The fourth order was from the New York City Transit authority for mobile units for the city’s new subway rail cars.
“The forest fire season this year has been extraordinarily active for the second consecutive year, placing a premium on fast and reliable two-way radio communications,” said David Storey, Relm’s president and chief executive officer. “We remain committed to supporting fire-fighting efforts quickly and effectively throughout the nation.”
Shipments of units of all four orders are expected to occur in September and October.
