MUNICH, Germany—Siemens said China Mobile selected it as a major supplier to expand its GPRS-based mobile Internet services in nine provinces in China. The entire project will be completed in November, Siemens said.
The implementation of the GPRS system will be completed by Siemens Shanghai Mobile Communications Ltd. The GPRS network upgrade will involve a total of 38 cities in nine provinces, autonomous regions or municipalities.
