SHAUMBURG, Ill.—Motorola Inc. said it has unveiled two new handsets, the i90c and i80s, which it says users can customize with downloadable applications.
The phones, which include a hands-free speakerphone, are built with Java 2 Micro Edition technology, according to the company.
“Users can schedule a meeting, access their corporate database, track their expenses, host a conference call on the speakerphone, and check flight status, all in a single handset in either a flip-style or ultra-thin design,” said Peter Aloumanis, vice president of Motorola and director of U.S. market operations for the company’s iDEN subscriber group.
