STI to introduces targets 3G buildouts with new filter

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.—Superconductor Technologies Inc. said it will introduce the IMT-2000 SuperFilter Tower Top System next week at the 3G Mobile World Summit in Japan.

The product is a cryogenic receiver front-end system designed for international markets adopting 3G wireless standards. “We are introducing the first CRFE product specifically designed for 3G systems at this venue because Japan is the clear leader in deploying 3G technology,” said E. Ray Cotton, senior vice president of business development at STI, adding that his company also has plans to target other international wireless markets deploying 3G networks
