CHELMSFORD, Mass.—WaterCove Networks and Funk Software have teamed up to provide wireless network operators and corporate enterprises the ability to deploy mobile virtual private network services “of equal reliability, performance, scalability and security to wireline VPNs.”
In their announcement January 15, the companies said their solution allows carriers and corporations to leverage the same security protocols and interfaces of existing VPNs for interaction with the mobile virtual private networks.
“It also provides a level of integration and control not currently available in today’s wireline VPN technology, and allows operators and enterprise customers to define configurable, changing models and to monitor and manage usage limits in real time,” they said.
WaterCove, Chelmsford, Mass., is a developer of next-generation mobile network infrastructure. Funk Software, Cambridge, Mass., is a designer of carrier- and enterprise-grade access control and policy management solutions.
