LONDON—Vodafone Group reported its Greek wireless subsidiary, Panafon-Vodafone, officially changed its name to Vodafone.
Panafon adopted the dual-brand name a year ago as part of the Vodafone global brand migration strategy designed to introduce the Vodafone name into local markets. The switch to Vodafone was made after an 81-percent recognition and acceptance rating of the brand was established in Greece.
Vodafone said its German subsidiary Vodafone D2 will migrate to the Vodafone in March, and its Swedish subsidiary Europolitan Vodafone is conducting a Vodafone reception campaign ahead of its migration to the single brand in April.
