HACKENSACK, N.J.—Wireless data provider GoAmerica Inc. announced its subsidiary Wynd Communications Corp. purchased the reachNET subscriber base from TeleCommunication Systems Inc.
Company executives said the move makes sense because both the Wynd and reachNET subscriber bases are largely composed of customers who are deaf and hard of hearing. Wynd’s WyndTell service, along with a handheld device, allows customers to communicate through a variety of two-way messaging features.
GoAmerica also recently moved to pick up subscribers from YadaYada, which shut down late last year.
