OFDM Forum announces new members

CALGARY—The OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) Forum, an association promoting one global OFDM standard for cost-effective, high-speed wireless networks, announced the addition of several new members.

Fujitsu PC and Wipro Technologies have joined as new associate members; the National University of Singapore’s Centre for Wireless Communications has joined as a new academic member; the U.S. Army has joined as a new government member; and The Phoenix Internet Corp. Ltd., Vaka Technology Ltd. and Wi-Comm Communications Inc. have joined as new small business members.

“The last year has been a difficult one for many organizations in the wireless industry,” said Peter Nurse, executive director of the OFDM Forum. “However, we are seeing continued interest and dedication to OFDM technology through or growth in member ship and participation in industry events.”
