VANCOUVER, British Columbia—Canadian wireless operator Bell Mobility announced the commercial availability of Sierra Wireless’ AirCard 555 Wireless Network Card on the carriers 1x network.
Sierra Wireless said the device will allow Bell Mobility customers to access the next-generation network at speeds up to 144 kilobits per second with average speeds up to 86 kbps. The network card is also designed to work on both 800 MHz and 1.9 GHz CDMA digital networks and includes voice capability through an included headset and two-way text messaging service.
