SAN DIEGO—Advanced mobile device maker PC-EPhone Inc. announced it will form a joint venture with Whitelite Communications Ltd., a division of Process Control & Automation Systems, to sell its devices under the Whitelite brand name.
PC-EPhone also announced a new bridge loan facility with PCAS Holdings Ltd. for up to $480,000.
The company has been struggling to sell its advanced wireless products in the slow-to-develop wireless data market. The company also faces stiff competition from established device makers, including Nokia Corp. and others.
Late last month the company hinted about the transaction with Whitelite when it delayed the filing of its quarterly report.
