BERLIN-Telecom equipment maker Siemens AG said it recorded a net profit of $717 million for the third quarter in contrast to a net profit of $1.59 billion during the same period last year, although the company does not expect an upbeat result in the fourth quarter.
“I am generally satisfied with our results for the third quarter and the fiscal year to date, given the ongoing difficult conditions in many of our markets,” said Heinrich von Pierer, the company’s chief executive officer.
