GREEN BAY, Wis.-Verizon Wireless entered a long-term agreement with the Green Bay Packers to be one of the major gate sponsors at Lambeau Field.
The seven-year sponsorship will run though the 2009 National Football League season and give Verizon Wireless prominent signage throughout the stadium; allows the company to continue its role as the official wireless communications provider for the team and stadium; allows Verizon Wireless to sponsor the Junior Captain Program that allows a randomly selected child to accompany the Packers Team Captains for the official coin toss at each home game; and gives the carrier exclusive rights to the Packers team marks, providing use of the Green Bay Packers, Lambeau Field and Titletown trademarks in point-of-sale advertising material.
Financial terms of the deal were not released.
