BUENOS AIRES, Argentina-The Ecuadorian National Telecommunications Council (Conatel) has decided to delay the auction of a national personal communications services (PCS) license, which was supposed to take place on 26 September, to 8 November. Along with this decision, Conatel also reduced the 1900 MHz bandwidth offered, from 40 megahertz to 30 megahertz.
Both measures were adopted at the request of Latin Pacific, the Peruvian investment bank that is organizing the auction.
