BOISE, Idaho-Extended Systems announced an important deal with Otis Elevator Co., which will use Extended Systems’ Mobile Solutions Platform to pilot the company’s global mobilization of service technicians.
Using Extended Systems’ technology, Otis technicians will be able to wirelessly access the service information they need from a variety of devices, including Web-enabled phones, two-way pagers and personal digital assistants.
“Otis is uniquely positioned to leverage mobile technology to connect our on-the-go service technicians with critical, up-to-date information,” said Ron Beaver, chief information officer for Otis.
