OYSTER BAY, N.Y.-CDMA operators are leading the race to deploy third-generation services in North America, according to Allied Business Intelligence.
GSM/GPRS operators are pursuing EDGE, a much less complex technology to which the CDMA operators can counter with higher evolutions of cdma2000, noted Edward Rerisi, senior analyst with Allied Business Intelligence.
“The constant jockeying for dominance has heightened the awareness of both investors and consumers alike as they have become increasingly interested in observing the evolution of wireless technology,” said ABI.
