TAMPA-Zeosoft is releasing version 1.5 of its Zeosphere application server at this week’s CTIA Wireless IT and Internet show in Las Vegas.
Zeosoft’s new solution, which was built based on feedback from trials with beta versions of 1.0 Zeospere, released in late Feb. 2002, offers enterprises a way to develop, deploy and manage wireless applications with a single server. The company said Zeosphere can be used by:
- Casinos interested in offering wireless data services to PDA users frequenting their establishments;
- Building supply companies trying to receive and order products from a lot rather than a home office;
- Field service workers interested in device-to-device messaging that will allow workers to send data and pictures of products to co-workers for quality control purposes;
- Security and surveillance companies interested in on-demand mobile conferencing.
The solution is available in two versions, a developer version which retails for $1,995 and an enterprise version that costs $5,000.
