BOSTON-Vordel has introduced VordelSecure 2.0, which it said is the first eXtensible Markup Language suite designed to respond to the security needs of organizations taking advantage of XML for software integration.
For wireless carriers, XML holds promise as a means to allow disparate billing and applications systems to communicate with each other, industry analysts have said.
“The servers that host Web services applications require a level of protection that the current generation of network firewalls is unable to provide,” said Phil Schacter, vice president and director of directory and security services at The Burton Group, an analyst group.
“This is one of the emerging roles for the new generation of Web services security products, such as VordelSecure 2.0.”
