LONDON-Following several streaming video announcements this week, U.K. company Oplayo said it launched the first network-independent consumer mobile video service, Mobile Media Club.
Users of the Nokia 7650, 3650 and other Symbian phones can purchase news, sports clips and fashion content, to be streamed directly to their phones. Mobile users download the Oplayo video player onto their phones and then can join the service and purchase videos.
