E-mail confusion for Vodafone users

OXFORD, United Kingdom-If cell-phone users are a little uncertain about the complexities of using their e-mail or voice mail services, Vodafone has just made things worse. The company recently sent an e-mail to its subscribers informing them that its newly launched Vizzavi e-mail service would no longer be available after 31 March.

This enforced move will mean that users who signed up to Vizzavi will lose their existing voice mail messages and security codes when they sign up to the new service, Vodafone Mail.

Vodafone, which only a few months ago offered its own e-mail service at vodafone.net, closed this facility and instructed customers to change their e-mail addresses to the @vizzavi.net domain. This switch followed Vodafone’s purchase of French company SFR’s stake in the Vizzavi portal, which would now appear to have been consigned to the dustbin.
