Verizon Wireless converts North Dakota to digital

MINOT, N.D.-Verizon Wireless said it completed the conversion of all of its local wireless service in North Dakota from analog to digital technology. The conversion included adding two new digital cell sites in Fargo and Bismarck to improve coverage and converting 39 existing cell sites to digital as part of its $14 million investment in its North Dakota network.

The new digital coverage areas include Minot, Williston, Jamestown, Dickinson, Rugby and Devil’s Lake with previous digital coverage launched in Fargo-Grand Forks, Red River Valley and Bismarck.
