STOCKHOLM, Sweden-Wireless vendor L.M. Ericsson said it will lay off 1,200 workers in its information technology units.
The sharp reduction in total staff from 107, 000 to 64,000 necessitated the cut because fewer people will need to support computer networks, according the company.
About 700 of the positions will be cut in Sweden, and 500 more in other countries, according to the company.
