J-Phone increases market share to 18.3% in February

TOKYO-J-Phone, a Vodafone company in Japan, gained 164,800 new subscribers in February, according to a survey compiled by the Telecommunications Association of Japan.

Due to the strides made by J-Phone, the market share of the three Japanese mobile companies as of the end of February became 58.1 percent for NTT DoCoMo, 18.4 percent for KDDI and 18.3 percent for J-Phone. J-Phone won many new subscribers in February by offering a new discount program for its customers and by launching new free e-mail services.
