DALLAS-MetroPCS Inc., which provides flat-rate unlimited local calling service in Atlanta, Miami, San Francisco and Sacramento, Calif., expanded its text messaging service offering to provide nationwide interoperability and introduced changes to its long-distance service plans.
The carrier’s text messaging service now allows customers to send and receive unlimited text messages to any wireless customer in the United States for $3 per month.
MetroPCS also introduced three long-distance packages providing customers with three hours of long-distance calling for $3 per month, five hours for $5 per month and 10 hours for $10 per month.
“We have listened to our customers and are responding to their needs by developing new packages to reward them for their continued support of our company,” said Roger Linquist, chief executive officer at MetroPCS.
