HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.-Mobile-phone maker Audiovox Corp. announced it purchased a new building adjacent to the company’s headquarters in Hauppauge, N.Y., for $3.48 million.
“As we have previously stated, our long-term plans are to continue investing in strategies that will assure our growth,” said John Shalam, the company’s chairman. “Purchase of this facility is an extension of our commitment to the consumer electronics industry and our subsidiary, Audiovox Electronics Corp.”
