OSAKA, Japan-Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd., the company behind the Panasonic brand, announced it will offer a home networking system, dubbed Kurashi Net (Japanese for “home life”), that will connect appliances such as air-conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and microwave ovens through a wireless control that can be managed using a mobile phone.
The move comes as several other companies plan similar offerings, including LG Electronics and Microsoft Corp.
