TOKYO-NTT DoCoMo Inc. said it will begin rolling over customers’ unused monthly dialing and communications allowances for up to two months beginning in November.
The Japanese telecommunications giant said the “two-month carryover” plan applies to all mova and FOMA subscribers and will be automatically instituted for subscribers.
The plan is similar to Cingular Wireless L.L.C.’s Rollover program that allows customers to keep their unused monthly anytime minutes for up to one year.
In other DoCoMo news, the Japanese operator said it will begin marketing the F672i phone, an easy-to-use handset with several one-touch calling buttons and enlarged text display, for its current-generation subscribers. The phone includes a pedometer to track a user’s walking and corresponding calorie burn.
