BONN, Germany-Lucent Technologies Inc. said German mobile-phone operator e-Plus deployed the latest version of its MiLife SurePay line of prepaid and postpaid technology. E-Plus has been using Lucent’s SurePay for prepaid service since 2002, Lucent said.
The new version allows E-Plus to set flexible tariffs and allows content providers to access customers’ prepaid credit accounts. The suite will also allow E-Plus to offer multimedia messaging service and promotion tariffs to its prepaid customers.
E-Plus plans to offer e-commerce service in the future, Lucent said.
