HOLTSVILLE, N.Y.-Symbol Technologies Inc. said it scored another favorable ruling in its Wi-Fi patent battle with Proxim Corp., this time with a jury deciding Symbol’s technology does not infringe on Proxim’s patents. The ruling was part of a counterclaim suit Proxim brought against Symbol.
Earlier this month, a separate jury ruled in favor of Symbol in Symbol’s suit against Proxim. The jury awarded Symbol 6-percent royalties on Proxim’s past sales, totaling about $23 million.
