NEW YORK-Chipmaker Infineon Technologies AG said it has added 145 software engineers from former parent company Siemens AG.
The newly redeployed engineers will be posted to its software development firm Comneon GmbH & Co.
“This transaction takes us another huge step forward in our ambition to progress from a pure semiconductor manufacturer into a system partner for complete mobile platform solutions,” said Erk Thorsten Heyen, chief executive of Infineon’s secure mobile solutions group.
