Siemens creates U.S.-based broadband R&D unit

DALLAS-Siemens AG said it has created a new global research and development unit called Siemens Subscriber Networks, with headquarters in Dallas.

The centers will be in Dallas; San Jose, Calif.; Brussels, Belgium; and Zurich, Switzerland.

“Siemens Subscriber Networks is responsible for the development and marketing for Siemens broadband CPE (center of competency) solutions on a global basis,” said the company.

“It is Siemens worldwide center of competency for broadband solutions, leveraging the success and leadership of efficient networks and its flagship portfolio of SpeedStream modems and routers.”
