Nokia to expand GSM network for Zhejiang Unicom

HELSINKI, Finland-Nokia Corp. said it is delivering a GSM network expansion to Zhejiang Unicom to boost the operator’s network capacity to 200,000 subscribers.

Nokia said the contract is part of a “raft” of recent contracts it signed for the GSM network expansion of China Unicom’s branches in seven provinces under a $48 million deal.

Nokia is supplying hardware and services under the Zhejiang Unicom contract.
