LAS VEGAS-Ascendent Telecommunications announced at this week’s CTIA Wireless IT show in Las Vegas that its AscendentCS mobility and continuity application has been installed inside media specialist OMD’s New York office.
Ascendent’s solution allows mobile phones to be linked to Private Branch Exchanges (PBX), allowing users to access the same features and functions their desk phones offer via their mobile phones. AscendentCS has increased the staff’s mobility and productivity, according to OMD. “The Ascendent solution has proven itself to be a valuable business tool,” said Deb Garrod, the company’s director of information technology.
OMD also plans to implement Ascendent’s hosted recovery server, AscendentRS, which allows a company’s PBX to be replicated at a remote location so it can operate as usual during any interruption in service.
