DALLAS-Wireless operator MetroPCS Inc., which offers fixed rate unlimited local calling plans in a handful of large markets, introduced an unlimited long distance and local calling service plan for $40 per month that does not require a contract.
The carrier, which said it has signed up approximately 900,000 subscribers since launching service nearly two years ago, noted it began test marketing the unlimited long distance and local calling offer earlier this quarter.
