OYSTER BAY, N.Y.-Although the automotive Bluetooth market has largely stalled due to a lack of Bluetooth-capable handsets, new research shows the market is poised for significant growth.
Research firm Allied Business Intelligence predicted that close to one-third of all new mobile phones will include Bluetooth technology by the first half of next year. Further, the firm predicts that one-fifth of the world’s automobiles will include installed Bluetooth hardware. The combination of Bluetooth phones and vehicles will help drive the automotive Bluetooth industry, the firm said.
“The use of Bluetooth in automotive applications should experience a significant turning point in 2004,” the firm said.
