LogicaCMG says merger on positive track

LONDON-LogicaCMG said its merger so far has gone according to plan.

“Trading overall during the second half of the year has developed in line with our expectations,” said Martin Read, LogicaCMG’s group chief executive officer. “The benefits of the merger are being realized in increased market share and continued good progress on order intake. The successful integration of the two companies has been an important step in the development of the group. While challenges still remain, most notably in Germany, we are confident that the progress made this year will continue in 2004.”

As for the company’s wireless networks business, LogicaCMG said second-half revenues are expected to be similar to its first-half earnings. The company said wireless operators are now more willing to invest capital to reduce costs and grow data service revenues.
