LONDON-Qualcomm Inc. said more than 125 application publishers and developers as well as European operators and device manufacturers attended its first European BREW Developers Conference, held last week in London.
“The first European BREW Developers Conference shows our commitment to building strong, collaborative relationships with European publishers and developers and further demonstrates the solid presence we are building in the European wireless marketplace,” said Johan Lodenius, senior vice president of European Business Relations for Qualcomm Internet Services, in his opening remarks.
Paul Palmieri, director of business development for Verizon Wireless, gave the keynote presentation. Other speakers included: Luis Avelar, vice president of marketing and innovation for Brazilian operator, Vivo; Trip Hawkins, founder of Electronic rts.; and Rio Caraeff, vice president of wireless services at Sony Pictures Digital Networks.
