SAN DIEGO, Calif.-REMEC Inc. is showcasing its transceiver and base station antenna products at this week’s Broadband Wireless World 2004.
REMEC transceivers fill the need for quality, high performance, quick turn, integrated modules, and REMEC SectorShape base station antennas provide high performance needed for next-generation wireless telecommunication networks. According to REMEC, the antennas can improve the spectral efficiency of a typical six-sector base station by 50 percent.
In other broadband news, Alvarion Ltd. said Kenya Data Networks Ltd. is deploying Alvarion wireless broadband networks worth more than $1 million to offer broadband access services to Kenyan ISPs and the business community. KDN is a new data communications carrier in the country, and is a subsidiary of Sameer ICT Group, a provider of mobile phone services in Kenya.
