BELLEVUE, Wash.-T-Mobile USA Inc. said it has introduced free software for its HotSpot Wi-Fi service designed to make it easier for customers to locate the carrier’s 4,200 locations.
The software enabled customers to automatically detect and log on to the T-Mobile USA HotSpot network and has a built-in directory of locations. In addition, the software will launch virtual private network clients for customers using VPN’s once they are logged onto the Wi-Fi network.
T-Mobile USA noted its Connection Manager software download is available for free at t.mobile.com/hotspot or beginning next month the carrier will provide free CD versions of the software at T-Mobile USA retail stores and participating HotSpot locations.
