VERNON HILLS, Ill.-Telular Corp. said AT&T Wireless Services Inc. has approved two new Telular products for use on the carrier’s GSM network.
The products are Telular’s Phonecell SX5D GSM/GPRS fixed wireless phone and the Phonecell SX5e GSM/GPRS fixed wireless terminal. The approval means consumers and businesses can now activate Telular’s SX5 GSM products on the AT&T Wireless network to replace wired phone service in the home or office.
“This marks an important milestone for Telular in obtaining major carrier approval for its products as the company moves forward with its wireline replacement initiative in the U.S.,” said Ken Millard, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Telular. “We are seeing interest in wireline replacement gather momentum across the country and are positioning ourselves to offer customers a range of carrier options in adopting fixed wireless.”
